Recordings is where dictations and meeting notes live in Ardela. Everything flows through the same editor — whether you record live, upload a file, or work offline.

Recording modes
Dictation — Single speaker, live transcription while online, ideal for memos and field notes.
Meeting — Multi-speaker with automatic speaker labels. Record from a microphone or capture audio from a screen/tab. See Meeting mode.
Typical workflow
Record or upload → Transcript ready → Generate with template → Edit → Export → Mark completeYou can pause and resume recordings, continue adding audio to an existing session, and assign client/matter metadata at any time.
