Forms

Prepare supported England and Wales forms from matter information with evidence for review.

Forms help Pro and Enterprise teams prepare supported England and Wales legal forms from permitted matter information and source material. A form always belongs to one matter. A recording can be evidence; it is never the owner of the form.

The Forms feature requires a Pro or Enterprise plan.

Prepare a form

  1. Open the relevant matter and its Forms tab.
  2. Select Prepare form and choose a form available to your workspace.
  3. Confirm the matter evidence Ardela may use.
  4. Run preparation and wait for it to finish.
  5. Resolve any missing fields.
  6. Review every field and its supporting evidence.
  7. Complete signing or finalisation only after that review.

Clara can also prepare a form while you are working in a matter-scoped conversation. Forms Clara creates stay private until you select Save to matter. Forms created from the Forms tab are shared with the matter.

Check evidence field by field

Each populated field should be reviewed against the evidence shown for that field. Open the source and check names, dates, addresses, reference numbers, calculations, and any qualification in the surrounding text.

If the evidence is missing, unclear, or inconsistent, do not infer the answer. Leave the field for human completion or return to the source material.

How a form moves

Preparation, review, and completion are separate steps:

Prepare → Resolve missing information → Review → Complete

Sharing a form with the matter does not mark it reviewed, signed, or final. Review, signature requests, and finalisation require a shared form.

Signature fields

Where a supported form includes a signature field, only an active member of the same Ardela workspace can complete the signature step in Ardela. Ardela does not use that control to collect a signature from an external client, witness, or counterparty.

Follow the form's rules and your firm's process for wet-ink signatures, qualified electronic signatures, witnessing, filing, or service.

Responsible use

Generated forms are drafts and are not legal advice. A responsible fee-earner must confirm that the selected form is current and appropriate, that every field is supported, and that all execution, filing, service, and deadline requirements are met.
