Transcriber Queue
Route recordings to eligible transcribers and track their progress.
The Transcriber Queue gives authors and transcribers a controlled workflow for human transcription and document preparation.
The queue requires a Pro or Enterprise workspace. Transcriber seats are free and do not use a paid fee-earner or administrator seat.
How queue work moves
Author submits work > Eligible transcriber claims it > Transcriber works on it > Complete or reviewThe recording remains workspace data. The author remains responsible for checking the completed work before it is relied on or shared.
Routing and access
Groups route queue items to the appropriate pool of transcribers. Group membership alone does not grant access to a recording or its matter.
Queue access comes from the user's permissions and the recording's queue assignment. That assignment is a specialist exception for the recording, not a Matter grant. Removing an item from the queue does not create a continuing right to access it.
Queue status
| Status | Meaning |

| Pending | Available to an eligible transcriber |
| Claimed | A transcriber is working on the item |
| Review pending | The configured group requires author or approver review |
| Completed | Queue work is complete |
Conditional approval
Approval is optional and configured for the routing group. When approval is required, completing transcription moves the item to Review pending. The author or permitted approver can then approve the work or request changes.
When approval is not required, the transcriber can complete the queue item directly.
