Meeting Mode

Record and transcribe multi-speaker meetings and interviews.

Meeting mode handles conversations with multiple speakers — client interviews, depositions, team calls, and conferences.

How it works

  1. Select Meeting on the Recorder tab
  2. Choose Microphone or Screen capture as the audio source
  3. Record or upload audio
  4. Ardela identifies speakers and labels segments
  5. Review speaker labels in the Transcript tab
  6. Generate notes with templates

Speaker labels

After transcription, each segment shows a speaker label (e.g. Speaker 1, Speaker 2). Click labels to rename them — for example, to "Client" and "Attorney".

Generated notes preserve speaker attribution and timestamps as citations.

Guides

Upload meeting audio

You can upload existing multi-speaker files in meeting mode. Supported formats and limits are the same as audio upload.

Tips

  • State participant names at the start for easier label assignment
  • Use a central microphone for in-person meetings
  • For video calls, screen capture often gives cleaner audio than a room mic
