Clara in Recordings
Use Clara AI inside the recording editor for edits and rewrites.
Clara is built into the recording editor so you can refine transcripts and generated notes without switching apps.
Split view
- Open any recording
- Click the Clara toggle in the header
- A side panel opens alongside your content
Ask Clara to rewrite sections, summarize, or answer questions about the recording. Clara can read the current tab context.
Selection bubble menu
Highlight text in any editable tab to see quick actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Format | Clean up paragraphs and spacing without changing words |
| Grammar | Fix grammar and punctuation |
| Expand | Elaborate on the selection |
| Custom | Describe the edit you want |
Each action shows a preview before applying — nothing changes until you confirm.
Approval for changes
When Clara proposes edits to recording content or metadata, an approval card appears. Review the diff and:
- Accept — apply the change
- Reject — discard it
This keeps you in control of all AI modifications.
What Clara can do in recordings
- Rewrite transcript or note sections
- Format dense text into readable paragraphs
- Answer questions about the current content
- Suggest improvements before export
Clara cannot silently overwrite content — writes require your approval.
Global Clara
For workspace-wide search and tasks across many recordings, use Clara from the sidebar (/clara). See Clara AI overview.
Tips
