Custom Vocabulary
Improve transcription accuracy with firm-specific terms.
Custom vocabulary tells Ardela how to spell names, acronyms, and specialized terms your firm uses daily.
Add vocabulary
- Open Settings → Vocabulary
- Add words or phrases — one per entry
- Save
Vocabulary applies to future transcriptions. It does not retroactively change existing transcripts.
What to add
- Partner and attorney names
- Client and company names
- Legal Latin and abbreviations
- Practice-area terminology
- Case names and matter references
Tips
- Add the most common misspellings you see in transcripts
- Include both the full term and common abbreviations
- Review transcripts periodically and add new terms
- Coordinate with admins so the whole firm shares workspace vocabulary
Who can manage vocabulary
- Members can manage personal vocabulary
- Admins can manage workspace vocabulary shared across the team
