Getting Started

Set up Ardela and learn the basics.

Get up and running with Ardela in a few minutes.

What you'll need

  • An Ardela account (sign up or accept a workspace invitation)
  • A microphone — built-in, headset, or USB mic
  • A modern browser — Chrome, Edge, or Safari recommended
  • Optional: install the PWA for offline recording

Roles

Your sidebar and permissions depend on your workspace role:

  • Members create and manage their own recordings, plus view recordings shared through groups
  • Transcribers work from the Queue instead of creating new recordings
  • Admins manage workspace settings, members, and can recover stuck recordings
