Billing & Plans
Ardela plans, pricing, seats, and usage allowances.
Ardela offers Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans for legal teams in England and Wales. Members with billing permission can review the current plan, seats, invoices, and usage under Settings → Billing and Settings → Usage.

Annual billing is discounted by 15%. Transcriber members do not consume a paid seat. Read-only members do. Enterprise pricing and allowances are agreed with Ardela.
New workspaces do not receive an automatic free trial. A trial may be provided directly by Ardela.
Monthly allowances
Allowances are measured per user and reset with the billing period. Buying more seats does not multiply one member's allowance.

Enterprise workspaces can have negotiated allowances. Check Settings → Usage for the values that apply to your workspace.

Large files may take longer to upload and process. The 500 MiB recording-import limit is separate from your monthly audio allowance.
When you reach a limit
When a monthly allowance is exhausted, the affected action pauses until the next billing period or until your allowance changes. Existing work remains available, subject to your workspace permissions and subscription state.
An inactive or expired subscription blocks new activity that changes workspace data, including recordings, AI generation, and API calls. Customer-managed card subscriptions that become past due have a seven-day grace period before access is blocked.
Manage your subscription
For an active customer-managed Starter or Pro subscription, open Settings → Billing to change the plan, billing period, paid seat count, or scheduled cancellation. Ardela shows the charge or renewal effect before you confirm a change.
Use the linked Stripe portal to manage payment methods and view invoices. Enterprise and other managed agreements are changed through Ardela support.
