Transcriber Queue
For Authors
Submit a recording to the transcriber queue and review the completed work.
Submit a recording to the queue when a permitted human transcriber needs to prepare or check the work.
Before submitting
- Finish or pause the recording so the required audio is available.
- Confirm the client and matter.
- Choose the routing group responsible for the work.
- Check that the recording contains no material the transcriber should not receive.
- Add clear instructions, priority, and a due date where required.
Groups route work. They do not grant recording or Matter access by themselves. The queue assignment is a specialist exception for that recording, not a Matter grant.
Submit to the queue
From the recording actions:
- Select Send to transcriber.
- Choose the routing group.
- Set the available priority and due date fields.
- Add instructions for the transcriber.
- Review the access implications and confirm.
Track progress
| Status | What to do |
|---|---|
| Pending | Wait for an eligible transcriber to claim the item |
| Claimed | The assigned transcriber is working on it |
| Review pending | Review the work and approve it or request changes |
| Completed | Carry out the firm's final check before using or sharing the work |
Review completed work
Review is only added when the routing group requires approval. Check the transcript or document against the audio, instructions, and matter context before approving it.
Approval confirms the queue step. It does not turn the work into legal advice or replace the responsible fee-earner's final review.
