Transcriber Queue
For Transcribers
Work from the transcriber queue in Ardela.
Transcribers use the Queue (/queue) instead of the recordings list. Your sidebar shows Queue as the primary work surface.
Queue views
Filter the queue by:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| Available | Unclaimed items you can pick up |
| Mine | Items you are working on |
| Others | Items assigned to other transcribers (admin) |
Use table settings to sort and filter by priority, due date, status, and more.
Claim a recording
- Open Queue
- Find an available item
- Click Claim (or open and claim from the editor)
Once claimed, items appear under Mine with Claimed status.
Edit and complete
- Open the claimed recording in the editor
- Review the transcript and edit as needed
- Generate or edit notes if required
- Mark the item Complete from the actions menu
Pop-out player
Open /player/[id] to play audio in a separate browser window while editing in the main editor. Useful when working on multiple items or comparing transcript to audio.
Release a claim
If you cannot finish an item, release it back to the queue so another transcriber can claim it.
Group approval
Some groups require author approval after completion. The status shows Review pending until the author approves.
